Tasty Pot it an international chain finally making its way to the corridors of what I call the Asian district of Phoenix/Mesa. Tasty Pot offers Taiwanese Hot Pot style cuisine. Now I will say, during the colder months this place will kill it! I do not know what to say when it gets stupid hot out!
Needless to say, we’re here to talk about the food! Now they have a plethora of soups to order from with a mixture of seafood, beef, vegetarian protein, and vegetables. I ordered their Taiwanese Supreme Spicy Hot Soup and went with a Medium spice….it still kicked my ass! I’m weak when it comes to spice these days, but I can only imagine what the actual spice would be like if I ordered they’re signature spice; the Flaming Spice! The supreme pot came with beef, tendons, mushrooms, fishballs, clams, pork blood cake, pork intestines, tofu, imitation crabmeat, cilantro, and scallions. Yes, indeed, it was a lot and along with your order, you had an option of either white rice or vermicelli noodles.
Moreover, the pot came out piping hot and boiling cooking up all the ingredients to temperature. I love eat hot temp food and its stupid cause I always burn my palates and upper mouth, but that’s my jam! The ingredients meshed well with the flavors of the broth and the vermicelli noodles were a perfect addition.
In the end, Tasty Pot is welcomed to the valley in my books. They provide a different punch to the food community and I hope we get more international restaurants as our Asian community continues to grow! Enjoy!
