Tacos at the Centrico
I came with some friends on some late night bites. So we sat at the bar and ordered a drink since it was just me.
For food, we started with some guacamole and chips. They serve it tableside too as our server was mashing everything together from avocados, tomatoes, onions, cilantro, and some peppers. The chips were fried from flour tortilla shells cause they definitely had some solid crisp to them; you aren’t getting these at the stores. The guacamole was smooth but had enough texture while the peppers provided and welcome kick of spice.
As for the entree, we shared their Taco de Asada. It came with four street style tacos. The beef was cooked to perfection while the salsa had a kick of chipotle along with the guacamole taquero provided some spicy flare but not too overpowering where I needed a sip of water every time.
Overall, Centrico provided some traditional street bites in downtown Phoenix. It’s a small restaurant, but packs a powerful punch and worth and drop-in – Enjoy!
